TRENCH FOOT?

This was the creepy sight which greeted my eyes when I removed my socks in the early hours this morning. The super comfortable shoes I've been wearing daily for the last six years seem to have been infected by documentaries about La Somme.

After listening to the ghastly news from La Promenade des Anglais in  Nice, I headed downtown with a heavy heart to buy new shoes. Sure enough Brussels is once again crawling with police &the military. Things will be hotting up in the next few days as Thursday is Belgium's national day :o(

Returned home without new shoes - shopping gives me the creeps.

Did manage to bring home a half decent photo of this (extra) honeybee busy collecting nectar :o)
