Rarely Seen Bird

This is a picture of a Henslow's Sparrow, a rarely seen tiny songbird which summers in a strip spanning from the middle of the U.S. along the Great Lakes into New England. It's global population is estimated at 400,000 which is relatively low. Since it's numbers are few and it hides in the grass preferring to run not to fly, most have not seen this sparrow.

Green background was looking very gritty and noisy until applied luminance smoothing in Lightroom. The lighter out of focus circle in lower left is a white flower.
