Gravensteen Castle

Susie Here: Well here goes my first attempt at a Blip... We started today in Gent, Belguim and explored the city for a few hours before continuing on our journey to France to catch the ferry back to the UK. I love looking around old castles and imagining what it must have been like to live there hundreds of years ago, so was delighted to come across Gravensteen Castle.

I took this picture using a vignetting effect that added perfectly to the castle's austere and forbidding apperance, and I think it conveys the deep dark mysterious feeling that I got when exploring the castle.
