Day to day today

Winchester Cathedral

Managed to get to the Cathedral before going to see my friend today. I seemed to be the only person there for a while, which was lovely! Perhaps not as impressive as Salisbury but still interesting. This is the view from the Choir. You do wonder how on earth they built these huge structures without the help of a crane!

Went over to see Debbie and took her out for lunch as she was getting a bit of cabin fever. She's just down the road from Bishop's Waltham so we went to a little cafe there, which was lovely. She's moving very slowly and is quite uncomfortable but is doing really well considering she had a major operation on Monday.

Took her home and left her to rest, which meant that I managed to get to the Great Hall before it closed, which was very impressive. Had a wander round Winchester - it's a lovely little city, and I found some great little independent shops. Nice place for a weekend break!

Went and had some dinner then came back to the hotel and relaxed for the evening - to hot to do much else. Looks like summer has arrived!
