Big ship, little ship

Alot going on along the canal today. This is part of the Tall Ship,a Square Rigged vessel, the TS ROYALIST. The ship is used to train sea cadets and I liked this detail on the bow of three cadets. I'm really hoping she sails up the Moray Firth in full sail so I'm keeping an eye on Marine traffic and hoping I do nt miss it, there is a chance she could sail back down the canal though. At the moment she is moored at Muirtown Basin.
Near to the Longman Harbour a Royal Navy minehunter can be seen, HMS Blyth. Members of the 40 crew attend the Highland Games yesterday and will leave tomorrow to head for the Sunderland Air Show.  Local Sea cadets, including ones from Avoch, had a chance to go aboard and have a look around this afternoon.
At Merkinch the Old South Kessock Ferry Ticket Office was open. We had a tea each and shared a KitKat and just for £1. Very interesting inside with lots pf photos of the local wildlife and an album with photos and newspaper clippings from the past. This ticket office would have been  in great use until 1982 when the Kessock Bridge opened.
It rained again today.
