The greeting community at Aigas

I was thinking of going to the Highland Games in Inverness today but I had forgotten that we were going out in the evening so decided to stay in. and save my energy
Julie very kindly gave me a copy of  the book ' Highlands - Scotland's wild heart, thank you Julie, and tonight there was a talk by the photographer, Laurie Campbell and the author Stephen Moss at Aigas Field Centre near Beauly.
As we approached these two Guinea fowl were walking across the road, can you see the second one ?
The book accompanies the tv series that was shown in Scotland earlier in the year.If you have nt seen it yet it will be broadcast to the rest of the UK later in the year and shows some of the wonderful wildlife we have in the Highlands.
After sandwiches and a drink we watched a side show of Lauries photographs and found out abit about how they were taken. Hours are spent hidden in a hide waiting for the animal to appear, this may be Golden Eagle or a pinemarten. Did you know that the best way to photograph a close up of a seal is to lay on your tummy and kick your feet in the air, seals are very curious about things they have never seen before so come close to have a look, there's a challenge for you cblnks2 ;)
Just 38 days left of rain if St Swithin is right !
