Another day and a different bee!

An outing with the newly formed New Image group to Cannon Hall.  I wasn't going to go because it's somewhere I'm so familiar with but half way through the morning I decided it would be well worth seeing if there was any different insect life by the edge of the lake.  So I changed my mind.  I'm so glad I did, wonderful late afternoon light and good company (I met some lovely people who I hadn't met before.  We were a nice group size of seven.)
This is a rather contorted looking Carder Bee on a Cranesbill flower and I was so impressed with how much pollen she had collected.  My extra is a collection of other insect images.  (Just the one butterfly - a meadow brown - I think).
