Heading Home from Meierei!

Today we were orienteering on the eastern end of St Moritzersee at God da Staz, once more in beautiful weather.  We walked from our apartment high on the hill in the centre of this blip, down in to town and around  to the event arena on the shores of the lake, fabulous setting!

I stayed in better contact with the map today and improved to 16th position though how on earth these women at the top run so fast in such terrain, they must be chamoix!  The forest was superb, in fact if you want to see it watch today's movie!

After we had finished, we did some shopping in town and picked up a good map to do some planning for our rest day walk on Wednesday.  We sat on the balcony of our apartment having a cup of tea and watching the guys on the building site below wield the huge tower crane by remote!  Then we walked further up the hill behind our apartment and took the Blumenweg which has been planted along a kilometre trail with 200 species of alpine flowers, very very lovely.  The trail also afforded us more wonderful views of the Engadin scenery.
