Eckernförde

We had a lovely day.

You can see part of a Strandkorb (literally "beach basket"), which you will find on the coasts of the Baltic Sea/North Sea. They are brilliant, designed to protect from the wind while you can still enjoy the sun. People have them also in their gardens or they occur in front of cafes for people to sit in. I would love to have one :)

The extra one is at the station in Kiel (capital city of Schleswig-Holstein)
