Mind blowing Blipmeet

What a lovely day we've had!  Today was the day of the Hidcote Blipmeet and accordingly eventually 13 Blippers and 4 partners got together at Hidcote and Kiftsgate to while away the time in talk, food, drink, walk and photography.  The assembled group consisted of Technophobe, Loosecanon, Tedwin, Redilady, Lozarithm, BOM, Chantler63, MAB1943 with Doug, BlackTulip with JJ, JohnRH with Wendy, Shutterup and me (Hildasrose) with SHH Rob.  Please have a look at their Blips if you get chance.

We saw two beautiful gardens and put the world to rights.  What has blown my mind today is all the "encouragement" to try going manual for the first time.  I found it very difficult.  BUT, after lots of advice and help, I do now understand a few more things about the settings and functions on my camera so BIG THANKS to my blipping experts.  I will try to remember it all and practise it following my last ever day at work tomorrow!  Hurrah!

This honeysuckle blip is the result of much experimentation with my settings of many kinds, just seeing what would happen by changing different settings and actually finding out how to change some of them.  I am quite pleased with it and even checked my histogram!

I really love Blipmeets and Blippers and am already looking forward to finding another one to go to very soon!
