Great Chalford Manor

Another hot day, but not quite so intolerably hot as yesterday. Perhaps you got some sleep last night... but today we nipped down to Chalford, a National Trust grade 1 listed manor house which goes back to the 1400's. It's an amalgam of bits stuck on here and there throughout medieval times. Featured in movies and television dramas such as Wolf Hall, there was a sign in the garden warning of impending video cameras - we walked the other way, but this didn't stop Janet from being stopped and asked to pose for a photograph, mainly because of the fantastic fifties cum Marilyn style dress she was wearing, which caught the winds delightfully, and which she made herself. It will be interesting to see if this photo crops up anywhere...
