Thank yous and Goodbyes

The last day of this academic year and it has been a strange one in many ways. It's never my favourite day but with more people going than in recent years and some of them very close friends and significant colleagues, it's been worse than usual. Lots and lots to do before the final bell so no real time to stop and think. An afternoon of charity fundraising events went well and the students departed in good order. 

The frustrations of the day continued with the news that the dog walkers hadn't been to see Bailey. Luckily the official Bailey-sitter came earlier than usual and he was OK. And then he's been left alone again this evening whilst I went out for the second of three leaving dos. All done and home to a very excited Bailey. Not an early start tomorrow but I am going into work whilst Bailey goes to the groomers. Perhaps he'll be a little cooler tomorrow as a result.
