Hearing them first, I hung around, trod in the nettles and got attacked by a biting fly (I won that battle for a change).
There were three tiny wrens that I spotted and both of the parents busily feeding their fledglings. The one on the left is slowly swallowing a harvestman, of the I'm not really a spider category. The wren didn't seem bothered what it was but appeared satisfied he was served first.
I had a funny shot of mum or dad on tiptoes peering over that plant in the middle straight at me but it wasn't quite in focus.
I had a quick ride this morning over to the reservoirs which I thoroughly enjoyed. Maybe another later...
