Mudejar, Frigiliana

The "mudejar" is the name given to the steep cobbled alleyways of this part of the "white village" of Frigiliana. The oldest parts would originally have been occupied by Moorish craftsman and the term "mudejar" applies to their architecture in Spain.

This lovely village hosts a "3 cultures" Festival in August celebrating the contribution and mixing of Muslim, Jewish & Christian influences here.
