Shared starter

Semi-celebration meal out with mum this evening in the pub across the road. This is probably the least unflattering picture I took of her, so I hope I'll get away with it.

That's whitebait in the bowl, incidentally. Served with a rather brilliantly spicey-tomatoy-chili-y sauce. I think I polished off most of it, but this might count as evidence that I didn't scoff the lot.
