Abraham Lincoln

Ole Abe was the President of the United States during the Civil War.  After the Battle of Gettysburg, he came to the battlefields to give his Gettysburg address.  It was an amazing speech saying some profound things that still define this country and who we are, as a nation.
The speech was given where the Gettysburg National Cemetery is now, about 300 yards to the west of the cemetery entrance.  There is a monument at the exact spot where the address was given.  The speech deserves reading and re-reading, pondering over exactly what it means.....
to be an American, what we stand for, and what we don't.
