Brighton dome ...

Our last stop on our short and intense battlefield tour was Brighton Pavillion. I didn't understand why until we got in ... it served for a while as a hospital for injured Indian soldiers in the first part of the First World War. Who'd have thought ... The photo was snapped as we were getting off the coach ... it is the stylish sculpture of the Brighton Dome. Lovely ...

Several of you have told me how to add extras but there doesn't seem to he the opportunity/a place to click for more ... so the moving shots at Lijsenthoek Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery. It 'served' the casualty clearing station nearby and is the final resting place for so many young men of many nationalities ... and one of very few women, a nurse killed whilst resting after a nightshift by a long range artillery shell ... Nellie. Such a moving few days ... I'll never forget the visit.
