A Day Worth Recording

Rather a full day today.  Set off with a car full of student paraphernalia - bike, amp, guitars, flippers, possibly even some clothes in there somewhere.

We'd planned to break the trip at an NT house & garden but somehow missed it and ended up semi-randomly picking Okehampton as a place to visit.  Curious place - preserved railway, castle, quaint (but attractive) church bang in the centre, and a rather fun council street garden & mural (see extras).

A little further on we came to Sticklepath and the water-wheel-driven foundry there (and the Quaker-cum-Methodist burial ground - every forge should have one).

The journey suitable broken we headed on to Montacute where we met up with friends we'd not seen for very large numbers of yonks; and thence on to home.

A long day, but rather a good one.
