A Special Treat

We are both feeling very mellow today...after our treat yesterday evening.  It’s almost our 8th wedding anniversary so we had dinner at our favourite restaurant, Morston Hall, here in Norfolk.
We shared a bottle of champagne with canapés and then enjoyed an eight course meal, which was just splendid; each course was packed with flavour and beautifully presented.   The menu there is different every day and is based on the best, seasonal food, many sourced from the surrounding area.  Although you don’t know what you’ll be eating until you arrive they are very accommodating with dietary needs which they make a note of when you book. They also grow their own herbs, make all their own bread and preserves and even have a smoke house in the pretty grounds.  It was a treat indeed.
