Head in the Clouds

Took the cable-car up CangShan mountain this morning, passing through grey clouds on the way. And there were lots of clouds blowing about at the top too, the landscape changing all the time as features suddenly appeared and others disappeared just as quickly. It was another walkway-led wander but given the crowds of Chinese tourists they get that wasn't a surprise.
Some entire hillsides are covered in rhododendrons, it must be spectacular in the Spring. But even without them in bloom it's a terrific place and with the highest point on the walkway lying at 3,966 meters it's the highest I've ever been (planes excluded).

Back in the inn now relaxing after another culinary adventure. Tree bark with egg. It was good. Who'd have thought?
