Aperture on Life

Mono dogs

I've been productive and spent a bit of time back blipping.  Only one recent day left to find, and that sods law, is on another disk, but which one?

The nerve in my leg has been playing havoc so it had to be a trip to the quack. I go to the surgery so very rarely that I've never actually seen my own doctor other than for social occasions, Now retiring, I doubt I ever will.  I've never seen the same doctor twice, not surprising as I've been told that I've only been in once a year since I joined the practice.

Today it was a rather gorgeous young man, probably employed for perking up the morale of us oldies as much as his specialisation in diabetes.  He wasn't going to let me out quickly. I was weighed and measured so my recent diet is now officially in my notes, rather than an out of hours chat with a friend.  I'm now on the list for physio and am hoping it will be soon.
Unfortunately he also noticed that I haven't had a blood test for 3 years, am due for all the woman's prodding and scanning and gave me a telling off for failing to give up smoking. Oh and my blood pressure was high, which isn't surprising considering the sleep deprivation that comes with my job, the fact that I do smoke, probably abuse salt and had had a jolly good drink with the neighbours yesterday evening.
Hmmm... A quick trip in for one thing and I feel like I'm never going to finish with visits.

Took the dogs for their daily walk and they dived into the first pond. Maera sticks her tongue out at me as if to say, 'nah nah nananah'.  I can't win over water. :)
