Mole out of his hole

This mole has been causing havoc in the garden for many months. He has finally surfaced in the last few days, much to my surprise it was not a bit concerned when I approached with my camera, it just carried on clambering out of the hole. It has been on the surface for a while now and had two cats sniffing at it but it is completely unconcerned. I was worried that the cats might harm it until I witnessed one of them jump away and come running in the house, I don't know what the mole did but it seem to have worked!
