Colorfully Contrasted

Light and dark are not the only contrasts in life, without even mentioning all the unique shades of grey between the two.  The first thing I notice in an image are the contrasts, which separate subject from background and individualize details.  Because there is so much less information in a black and white image, a favorite medium of mine, contrast between light and dark is called upon to make up the deficiency.  Color is so much trickier, complicated with all those darned colors!  But sometimes, a scene just paints itself.
