En Garde!

The Black Hills Training Facility was quite busy early this morning, as it is only 7 days until the start of  the Alternative Olympic Games.  After submitting their samples for performance enhancing drug testing, the Fencing team was in great form demonstrating high levels of quickness, agility, and mental and physical strength as they lunged and parried. The black fly team will surely have a visual advantage in the matches with all those eye facets (have a look in Large.) There is some controversy, however, about the weapon of this black fly as it appears to be one antenna superimposed over the other and therefore may not be a regulation foil or saber. We are awaiting an official AOG Committee decision.

A few of the insect athletes seen this morning can be found here on Flicker modeling their new flashy uniforms:  Chevron Leggings  of the Leaf-Munching team; Team Wasps’ orange Speedos, and this unidentified Olympian strutting around the Queen Anne’s Lace section of the Training center in a very colorful Warm-up Suit.

This little bit of silliness is my contribution to the Tiny Tuesday Challenge hosted by 60Plus and AOG2016.  The host for August is ME.
