Timing is Everything

Well it was today.  

I popped out for a quick garden blip - got a few nice shots in the late afternoon sunshine - and then noticed this chap circling above my head.  Quite dizzy-making turning around and around as it circled without settling but then it found this willow wand and came conveniently to rest at eye level!

What shall we call it?  A Hawker I think from it's size and the aerial display.  Perhaps a Migrant Hawker or otherwise Common Hawker.  Apparently the Migrant are more common than the Common, which is quite scarce in Norfolk .... work that one out :-)

Rain for the garden, housework and sorting/tidying in progress and a chicken pie in the oven (again - sorry Madchickenwoman :-( )
