The People's Flag

This year is the 80th anniversary of the Front Populaire. There's no chance of our politically engaged mayor missing the opportunity to celebrate. Le Chiffon Rouge is a local choir that specialises in radical and revolutionary songs. Not something I'd particularly want to be part of, but for the occasion they'd put together a show that was a good mixture of songs, poems, and extracts from newspapers covering the history of the Front Populaire. And 90% of the audience was already on their side. Here they are finishing off their show with a spirited (second) rendering of the Internationale. G, sitting next to me, overheard the conversation of two women behind her, clearly not locals. "So ... they're communists here then??" There was more singing in the bar afterwards.

Extra in mono as I couldn't decide which to use. The red/orange lighting was terrible for taking photos of people.
