Today we said goodbye to Michael-next-door with a small, unusual, heart-felt service. I hope we honoured him. Michael's wardrobe was a joy to behold, he wore Hawaiian shirts every day. We asked the florist to try to represent a Hawaiian shirt in roses, his favourite flower. I think she did OK. We shall miss him very much.

I missed out on submitting a blip yesterday, the first time in more than 800 days. My mind was elsewhere. The gap in entries will now live on as a reminder of the gap we now feel with Michael-no-longer-next-door.
