Holed up trying to escape the rain

... in a tower without a roof!

We've been at Stainborough Castle Gardens again today sketching.  We were loosely linked in to a special project being run by the Gardens which was being facilitated by Ann on behalf of Barnsley & Mapplewell Writers.  It was a wee bit wet and we'd just reached this part of the garden (the castle folly) when it started to rain heavily (it wasn't supposed to start till after lunch)!  So we all ended up with some very quick sketches on decidedly soggy paper.  Actually my quickest - the view through this archway also turned out to be my favourite.  Sometimes quick is good.

We tried again after lunch, but I was the only one who set up in a roof covered space, so when it rained again we called it a day and came back here for a cuppa.
