Flower Friday 29

Had to go to a big event at Kings Park tonight. It was a cocktail party in a big restaurant overlooking Perth city, wonderful views! There were 500 people there and we had a great night. These flowers are called everlastings and are very beautiful all together like this, however it was blowing a gale and I couldn't get a very good shot with my phone!

We were warned a few days ago that parking might be a problem as the Pokemon Go phenomenon has seen thousands of people wandering for hours through Kings Park as they play the game.

It was all true and there were an extraordinary amount of people there tonight, quite unreal to see mobs of people shuffling along together all staring at their phones, kind of creepy or like a zombie movie or something.

I had to park a very long way away and then walk back to the venue which meant my steps walked today shot right up to 20 kilometres...ah my aching feet!! :o))

I've put a shot in the extra's of one view of the crowd wandering down the main entry to the park. They were everywhere else too sometimes 20 or 30 deep in places. If Pokemon hasn't hit your city yet, this is something you have to see for yourself when it does!!! Here's a link to a local news story about the impact of all those people on the park!
