Demolition...

... of a former public house.

I have blipped this building at least twice before.

 Three years ago it was still open and up for sale. Earlier this year when the pub had closed its doors but there were people interested in renovating and re-opening the establishment. 

This week the place has been surrounded by boards and scaffold and demolition has begun, to build 8 apartments and two retail units. With the position, immediately next to Starbeck Railway Station and level crossing, it will need considerable sound-proofing at the very least.

I will be adding my photographs to the local history collection in Harrogate to provide a link to a pub with a long history.
