Through the Looking Glass

In this case, it is actually through the champagne glass!  A back blip as it was far too late last night to do anything.

We spent the evening at a Waddesdon Manor Wine Tasting Meal.  This started with tasting (or drinking) a range of champagne and wines on the Parterre (terrace looking out over the formal gardens) and then a four-course cordon-bleu meal in the Manor Restaurant , each course matched to a particular wine.  The sommelier came round to introduce each wine to us as we were served a course  - I really didn't know there was so much to producing wine.  I hate to think what these wines cost per bottle but I'm sure they were way beyond our normal drinking level!

My blip is looking up at the Manor through the haze of pink champagne.  Not a bad way to spend an evening!
