Developing Weather

Around 1:30 in the morning we were awoken by a huge storm passing over our village,  Lightning, thunder, torrential rain and hail, we got the works. In the morning the ground was still flooded in places and the garden had suffered somewhat. The nearby streams were all full and flooding over their banks.  The sky was blue but even quite early in the day it was filling with cumulus towers.
The forecast was for more storms so we stayed relatively close to home and near the coast. This meant we were in the sun and could see the weather moving toward us from the inland.
In this picture you can see the western end of the High Coast bridge, and in the extra you get the eastern end of the same bridge and the High Coast hotel.  In the extra, taken at the same time, the sky looks rather benign. It makes a difference where you point the camera!  As you can see in the main Blip the clouds were certainly developing nicely in the west.  Sure enough, on the way home, the heavens opened and the thunder/lightening show set off again.
By the time we were home it had stopped raining and as I write this the evening sun shines out of a blue sky.
