Peering

It was my son's birthday today (technically it was yesterday but because of the time difference, it falls on the following day). He's 22. He's in red and we were today in White Rock right on the Canada USA border. We had played golf in the afternoon and decided to celebrate with a meal at a very good Indian restaurant in the evening. . The town of White Rock, so called because there is a large white Rock on the shore, has the longest pier in Canada. It is very much a seaside town but we caught it in lively mood with lots of folk enjoying the sun and relaxing. One notable feature was the procession of premium cars, some vintage, some retro, and some simply 'pimped up' cruising up and down the main drive. It waas very much a see and be seen and is what the Europeans do on Sundays when they promenade. The extras are the pier and some high jinx from some of the locals.
