The Backfeet...tepees.

The mountains of the Northern Rockies (which became Glacier National Park) were formidable to the settlers moving westward in wagon trains. Because this was so, the Blackfeet were able to remain on their ancestral homeland when other tribes were sent to reservations away from their ancestral land. The main route of the wagon trains crossing the plains and the Rockies lay further south. The Blackfeet are one of six tribes which were able to remain on their ancestral lands (where they have lived for ten thousand years). They were called Blackfeet because of the ash on their moccasins.
