It rained almost whole day. We were getting very cold with every break. It is no weather for a picnic and we were glad to find a restaurant in Hovden. We had already cycled for three and a half hours.
The mountains we were to climb, turned out to be road 9 leading up to the end of Setesdal, in Hovden, followed by a road over a plain. There are lots of types of mosses to discover and beautiful flowers, too. No elk to be seen on the wet peatlands.
Very abruptly it changes and in three kilometers we descended via severral hairpin bendings from 850 meter to 540 meter.
