Baaba Maal soared above some initial technical difficulties and ended up singing and dancing in the crowd, Della Mae were a fine all female bluegrass band, and the Hot 8 Brass Band from New Orleans brought the party to an end like no-one else could. The festival not just music; it also attracts a really nice crowd, The Guardian outsells all other papers by 5000 to 1, it's great for people watching and there are all sorts of stalls and wandering entertainers.
