Whisky Galore!

The Scottish Whisky Experience visitor centre is one not to be missed if you're visiting Edinburgh.  For your entrance fee, you are taken on a trip outlining the history of Scottish Whisky making.  There's then a fun interactive 'scratch-and-sniff' session followed by a tasting from a selection of whiskies from different areas, after which you can take your tasting glass home as a souvenir.  There is also a huge selection of whisky, some very very old and some very very expensive.  There is a shop and also a lovely restaurant called 'Amber' downstairs which I recommend for a taste of Scotland!
