Golden Girls

We had been looking forward to our day at the Olympic rowing for ages, and it didn't disappoint at all. Everything about it was a joy to experience. The organisation of the event was superb. The welcome from volunteers and security staff was great. The enthusiasm of the crowd was wonderful and most important of all the performance of the athletes was awe inspiring.

It was great seeing two GB bronzes from the men rowers, but the highlight of the day was Katherine Grainger and Anna Watkins winning gold in the double sculls.
