Moefre Lifeboat Day! our favourite summer day!

Moefre is normally a quite little village with a beach and a few people ambling happily around, but it is very big indeed in the history of the RNLI, and the village is completely "into" the lifeboat day.
Literally Thousands of visitors turn up for this annual event and there are displays of rescue techniques (see the lads from the inshore boat leaping in the water) and much fun and laughter.
The big boat launches at 1PM to the cheers of the huge crowd
We even had a brief fly by of the Red Arrows display team on their way to Ireland.
Quite a few of the crowd sat right down by the waters edge on the rocks, forgetting that the new big lifeboat can make a five foot high bow wave as it shoots past, the were lucky not to get swept away, never mind a ducking!
