a lifetime burning

Magic Balls

Our third day at the Fringe Festival here in Edinburgh and another late finish.

We've had another great day, and a much drier day than yesterday.  We started with the one man "Trumpageddon" (OK but not great), went on to queue for and were disappointed when we failed to get into Abbi Roberts "Anglichanka" (free entry and oversubscribed today, but on for the rest of the festival), and finally caught Marcus Brigstock's show "Why the long face" (utterly, utterly brilliant, side splittingly funny).

We also took in the exhibition at the National "Inspiring Impressionism" Daubingy, Monet and Van Gogh (delightful if any of those painters floats your boat - if you've seen the exhibition you will get the weak joke).

In between times we had a great time wandering around the Royal Mile looking at those seeking to advertise their shows and generally watching people.  We also managed to get dinner at the excellent Mother Indias - so now we have eaten in both the Edinburgh and Glasgow restaurants of this mini chain.  We had told Jess what a great meal we had in Glasgow, so she was keen to try the Edinburgh restaurant and we were not disappointed, despite the numbers they were having to serve etc.

All in all a very satisfying day, but its now time for bed.  If I can just get this pullover off without damaging my ribs any further I shall be fine.  I wasn't kidding about Marcus Brigstock's show, Cathy Jess and I were crying (literally) with laughter, and my ribs still ache now.
