Moth-eaten Butterfly

A very battered looking "kleiner Fuchs" (that would be "little fox" in English but it's a Small Tortoiseshell there).  Spotted on a walk/bramble hunt this afternoon.   A comma  butterfly (danke an Frau PP) - it's called a C-Falter in German. Have no fears, it flew away quite happily about 10 seconds after I took this.

It's a beautiful day out there today - the sort of day where you appreciate the shade and breeze when you get them.  The sort of day where I really appreciate how beautiful this part of Germany is.

And this Sunday has a Plus.  It's biggest Plus is that I'm not at work this week - I am so looking forward to waking up tomorrow and not getting up.

So I'm going to enjoy the end of the cricket and perhaps a beer or 3.
