Mayhem at the Feeders

Sunday afternoon and a day off – well part of one anyway.  So I sat on the garden seat and using the Sigma 170-500 proceeded to shoot the birds on the feeders at the other end of the garden – against the light!  Not exactly an ideal photographic set up.

With the ISO at 1000 I expected a bit of grain, and with having to do a LOT in PS to counteract the back lighting the results were not technically as good as I would hope.  All shots were cropped to at least a quarter of the original which increased the grain and noise as well.  So here is a colleague of the six better shots, with one of them, a rare old punch-up, full (?) size at ‘Extra’.
