They always intrigue me.

A "half-waxed" Starling.
As fledglings they are a uniform drab colour and look like a totally different species. As an adult they are quite colourful, caught in the right light. In the half way stage they look, again like a different bird. They also seem to get the adult plumage around the chest & sides before anywhere else.
