Turn down tight ...

A high of 19C but a little cooler in the afternoon with some haar rolling in off the North sea on the breeze.

Very quiet all round our walk today. Curtailed views on the bridle path because of the haar, and hardly any view of the sea right down at the beach. Only one or two people out walking, and one waiting for a bus on the main road, as Maeve the Deerhound and I strolled round in the sun and enjoyed being out in sunshine after lunch. Maeve got quite warm, but some fresh cold water has solved that and she is now having her afternoon sleep.

Today's blip is a detail from the top of one of the old tractors that the Fishermen at Westhaven use to tow the Fishing boats to and from the water. The words are "Turn down tight" and "Remove slowly". I'm thinking probably a radiator cap although not found right at the front of the engine. Intriguing :-)

Earlier there was watering and feeding of greenhouse plants.
I also watched some Olympics on telly. Jessica Ennis going along very well in the Heptathlon. Usain Bolt not even into 2nd gear in the 100m heats ... although is he playing games or covering an injury ... always a mystery with the sprinters!
