Peacock Butterfly

Having gone into Cambridge yesterday, I have been laying about the house doing very little today, although I have changed the support arrangement for our bird feeder.  The deer kept pushing the feeder on its stand over, so that it laid on its side, so I cut a section of the correct diameter pipe to size and fitted it into the ground, this permits the bird feeder to stand in this and I do not believe it can be pushed over, without the feeder being destroyed in the process; very solid indeed.

Today’s blip was taken at about twenty-five feet, with the camera set for maximum telephoto, of this Peacock butterfly feeding on one of our Buddlejas.  It was not possible to get closer than this.
