Waiting for another circus...

Plus an interestingly constructed and well-performed solo play, 'Who is Tahirih?' about a nineteenth century Iranian campaigner for women's freedom.

Then I kicked myself for falling for the Oxford Revue marketing: 'Since ... the 1950s, the Oxford Revue has produced many of the UK's best-loved comedians including Rowan Atkinson, Alan Bennett and Michael Palin.' I should have spotted the 40-year gap since the last big name. This year's duo won't be joining them.

Whereas Nazeem Hussain, who we went to see later to redeem comedy, might well.
