If you can't beat them...

Juvenile Dunnock

I seem to be doing a lot of shots of birds  in the garden at the moment but I couldn't resist this young "Blue Dykie".  Well that is what we used to call them when "ah were a lad".  I assume the blue from the wonderful turquoise colour of the eggs and Dykie because they were commonly called Hedge Sparrows rather than Dunnocks.  Before somebody points out yes I do know they are members of the accentor group.

The rest of the day was very mundane with the weather not too good the hedge got a reprieve (temporary).  So we ventured out to get Clickychick another blue pot for her patio scheme.
