Leaf (Thursday 4th August 2016)

I came across this enormous leaf on the pavement close to home and thought it would be a good subject for Abstract Thursday, so I played around with it using various digital filters in the camera over a series of different images, with the leaf on an old folding stool in the porch. No idea why I used such a stupidly fast shutter speed and wide aperture! Probably still set from a previous shoot.

The one I've chosen was made using a cross-process filter and then the hue was tweaked in PC software.

It is almost Thursday again now but as the image is a week old it is too late to tag it for last week.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Soft Machine - Feelin' Reelin' Squeelin' (recorded at CBS Studios London, January 1967)
Robert Wyatt (vcl, drums), Kevin Ayers (vcl, bass gtr), Mike Ratledge (piano, organ), Daevid Allen (gtr, whistle, vcl)
This was on the debut single by the Soft Machine as the B-side of Love Makes Sweet Music and was produced by Los Angeles based record producer Kim Fowley. It was written by Robert Wyatt (under his full name Robert Wyatt-Ellidge). The band at the time included Daevid Allen, an Australian who was later denied re-entry to the United Kingdom from Paris and left the band to form Gong.
This record was huge among my friends but became impossible to find almost as soon as it was released and I don't think I ever owned a vinyl copy.
