The Good Life

Out of sympathy for a Brit, they let me home today after I did a lot of whinging and whining. It is a golden rule that you can't leave the hospital until the ward doctor has issued you with three copies of the letter explaining what happened on your visit,, tests, blood results, procedures, medication, what has to be done etc etc - one copy for patient, GP and specialist. Being a Saturday with minimum staffing, clear this was going to take a long time.

Angie turned up at 12:00 and said we are going home, to hell with the papers, dad, step mum, step brother with wife and daughter due to arrive in 15 minutes for BBQ and the front door open. To gasps of horror we took off. Later learnt the letters were handed out at 15:00.

So back home, a cold beer, hot BBQ, deliciously prepared by Angie and barbecued by Peter while wife Sandra and daughter Emily cooled down. Lovely afternoon and it was great to see them all for the first time in ages.Emily has grown up so fast and is now awaiting a brother or sister in coming months.

Father in law Sepp (Joseph) checked the greenhouse to ensure his tomato, pepper and cucumber seedlings had been properly treated and as always he did a full inspection of all the animals - can tell where Angie got her love of animals from.

Had to endure a few beers but only for medicinal purposes - to wash out the kidneys.
