Waved albatross courtship

Waved albatrosses breed in the protected World Heritage Site of the Galapagos islands, on Espanola Island. They have no fear of people, and the breeding colony can be visited by escorted groups. Amazing site to see them, and watch them - we saw courtship, some with eggs, some with chicks.

They are called waved albatrosses because of the feather pattern on the breast.
